Reckless

Risk

A reckless person engages in risky behavior.

Reckless is a term in our language that comes from the Latin word temerarĭus . It is an adjective that can be used to describe a person whose conduct is very reckless and, therefore, carries risks . Acts of this kind are also known as reckless.

For example: “In a reckless action, the young man threw himself into the sea from the boat to try to recover the ball that had fallen” , “I am not a reckless man: I always prefer to act with caution to avoid later problems” , “Keep in mind that reckless decisions never bring positive results” .

Reckless individuals

A reckless individual is one who does not pay attention to danger and therefore acts in a way that could be described as irrational . A human being, in theory, should be concerned about risks and act in accordance with this awareness: if he or she does not do so, he or she can be defined as reckless.

A person who decides to walk balancing on a rope placed at a height of one hundred meters, without any kind of restraint or protection, is a reckless person. In some cases, reckless action puts the safety of other people at risk (such as a motorist who decides to drive down a road blindfolded).

Planes

It is often said that acrobats are daredevils.

Something without reasons or arguments

That which is done or expressed without arguments , motives or evidence is also defined as reckless.

“The opposition candidate made a reckless announcement: he assured that, if he comes to power, he will lower taxes, something that is absolutely impractical” and “Why do you insist on making such reckless judgments? It is better to reflect before jumping to conclusions…” are expressions that show this usage.
