How to acquire wisdom
Wisdom can be acquired in different ways. It is generally associated with knowledge obtained through experience . Take the case of a man who is dedicated to fishing. Whenever weather conditions allow, this person gets on his boat and goes out to explore a lake to catch fish. Man has been carrying out this activity for forty years: in this way, today he has the necessary wisdom to interpret weather signals and know when he should embark and when to return; knows, according to the color of the water, where the schools are; etc
It is possible to develop wisdom, on the other hand, through study and training . If a woman studies Sociology at a university, attends conferences and talks on the subject and reads books by great sociologists in history, she will be forging her wisdom.
It is important to note that there is no exact or precise moment to determine when a person becomes wise (that is, has enough sapience to be considered as such). If we return to one of the previous examples, there is not a day in which the fisherman suddenly learns everything and becomes an expert.
Performing the same activity many times allows you to acquire wisdom.
A chapel of the University of Valencia
In addition to all the above, it is interesting to know that at the University of Valencia (Spain) there is a beautiful place that responds to the name of Capilla de la Sapiencia. In the 15th century, specifically in the year 1498, the construction of this enclave, also known as the University Chapel, was carried out by Pere Compte.
Some time later, in the 18th century, more precisely in the year 1737, Miguel Martínez rebuilt it. It must be said that it has a marked baroque style, that it has become one of the most important spaces of the Valencian university, that it has small dimensions and that it has become the scene of countless events of this type. culture during all these centuries.
All this without overlooking that it has important paintings by artists such as Manuel Camarón Melía or Luis Planes and sculptures such as that of San Bruno, which is made by Ignacio Vergara. However, the most significant work and the one that gives its name to the chapel is “The Virgin of Wisdom”, by Nicolás Falco.
