Evil

Diabolical

Evil is related to the intentional generation of harm.

In order to know the meaning of the term evil that concerns us now, we are going to proceed to discover its etymological origin. In this case, it must be emphasized that it derives from Latin, exactly from “malitas”. This word is the result of the sum of two well-differentiated lexical components of said language:

-The adjective “malus”, which is synonymous with “bad”.

-The suffix “-dad”, which is used to indicate “quality”.

What is evil

The condition of evil is called evil .

Among the words that can function as synonyms for evil, we can highlight terms such as perversity, evil, satanism or protervia. On the contrary, among its antonyms we find words like perfection or goodness.

The notion also refers to the unfair or harmful act . For example : “Don't you get tired of doing evil? You should be ashamed” , “I think the player was not malicious, he just went to fight for the ball and ended up injuring his rival by accident” , “Only a man full of evil can mistreat his son in that way” .

Criminal

In the realm of fiction, you can find characters with large doses of evil.

The generation of damage or lack of interest in the consequences of an action

Evil, therefore, is associated with that which constitutes evil . An action that is carried out with evil seeks to generate harm or, at least, its executor is not interested in its consequences, no matter how negative they may be.

Suppose that two young people enter a humble chapel and destroy the place , breaking the religious figures and the altar. These boys had no goal other than to destroy the temple for fun . Faced with this panorama, it can be said that the vandals acted with evil , causing pain and anguish in all the faithful who came to that place.

Sometimes, evil is implicit in the action, even when the behavior in question has an objective . If a thief intercepts an elderly man on the street and hits him to steal his wallet, there is a great deal of evil in his act: he took advantage of the vulnerability of an elderly man, physically hurt him and stole the money that the victim surely needed to survive. Of course, regardless of the consideration made regarding evil and the moral issue, theft is a crime that is punishable by law .

«Evil Index»

In the same way, we cannot ignore that in Latin America there was a series called “Index of Evil.” Specifically, it is an American documentary series originally called “Most Evil.”

The forensic psychiatrist Michael Stone is the one in charge of that space and there he comes to classify the murderers based on their level of evil. For four episodes he carried out this classification in which there are known murderers such as Jack the Ripper, the Zodiac Killer, Charles Manson or the Golden State Killer.

Exactly he classified them in a list where a total of 22 levels of evil were indicated. In the first are those who killed in legitimate defense and in the last are the so-called psychopathic murderers and extreme torturers.
