Before entering fully into the meaning of the term escape, we are going to proceed to know its etymological origin. In this case, we can point out that it is a word that derives from Latin, specifically it comes from the verb “fugare”, which can be translated as “to flee”.

Escape is the act and consequence of escaping : fleeing, achieving an escape . When a prisoner who was in prison manages to violate security measures and leaves the premises, he escapes.

DrainFor example: "The escape of five dangerous criminals from a maximum security prison worries the government" , "A security guard detected the escape attempt and managed to thwart the plan" , "The only thing I have done since I have been deprived of my freedom" It is unfair to think about my escape…”

Likewise, we have to emphasize that there are several synonyms that exist for the term that concerns us now, among which we can highlight evasion, escape, escape, exit or escape, among others. On the contrary, among its antonyms we can emphasize words such as capture, detention, raid or stop.

When an individual is found guilty of a crime whose penalty under the Penal Code is deprivation of liberty, he or she is generally sent to prison. In these buildings there are walls, wire fences, bars and other elements that, in theory, prevent the inmate from escaping. This means that the convicted person must remain locked up until he completes his punishment or Justice allows him to regain freedom. The escape of the subject, in this framework, would imply that he was able to evade the security mechanisms and leave the building without authorization .

Precisely if we take into account this meaning of escape we can highlight that there is a film that is worth knowing. We are referring to the American thriller “The Escape from Alcatraz”, which premiered in 1979 under the direction of filmmaker Don Siegel.

That film, which starred actors of the stature of Clint Eastwood, Patrick McGoohan and Fred Ward, tells that a prisoner who has recently arrived at the maximum security prison of Alcatraz begins to hatch a plan to escape. He has already escaped from other prisons and he is clear that he will also manage to do the same in that other one and that is how it will be.

The escape can also have the objective of evading an authority, a security agent, etc.: “Two criminals who were fleeing from the police in a stolen car collided while fleeing and caused the death of a person” , “The abuser “He fled when the victim began to scream,” “A runaway from home always puts a minor at risk.”

When a fluid or gas accidentally comes out of a conduit, it is called a leak: “The explosion was caused by a gas leak,” “The fuel leak originated after the impact.”

In the same way, we cannot ignore that La Fuga is the name of a Spanish rock group that started in the 90s and that since then has managed to release a total of ten albums. Among his best-known songs are “Al pie del canyon”, “Playing to not win” or “Los Mondays in October”.

In the field of music , finally, a composition based on the reiteration of a theme and its counterpoint is called fugue.
