Tenacity

Consistency can be associated with perseverance.

From the Latin constantia , constancy is firmness and perseverance in resolutions . It is an attitude or a predisposition of mind regarding a purpose .

For example: "If you want to play in the first division, you have to be consistent in training" , "I think I could have developed a professional career in television, but I was not consistent" , "I'm not talented, although I have consistency" .

Already from our first years of life , we are presented with certain challenges that require a certain dedication, a greater effort than we need to carry out daily actions, and it is through these tests that we shape that part of our personality that defines how much we are willing to strive to achieve our goals . Consistency is not a very common virtue; It is one of the pillars of success, in all its variants, which is why it is understandable that only certain people practice it.

The importance of consistency

Modern life offers us endless comforts, although not all of them are so obvious. We have become accustomed to believing that we strive to achieve everything we have, that we enjoy a series of rights above other living beings and that we are entitled to a space on this planet, because we are the dominant race . How much have we really done to fill that role? Is our work really authentic? It would not be fair to deny the dedication and perseverance necessary to remain active within a society, but neither would it be fair to overlook the fact that humanity has not advanced through molds, but rather by breaking them and seeking new horizons.

Being constant implies the fact of facing a variable series of difficulties , preventing them from knocking us down, from stopping us from wanting to move forward until we achieve what we set out to do. And for this it is necessary that certain conditions be met, with genuine interest in the cause being one of the most important; Working for days, months or years in pursuit of a goal that does not inspire us, that does not move us, is true torture.

In the last example presented in the first paragraph, a very common feeling is described among those people who do not consider themselves endowed with a special talent , but who believe they make up for the lack of natural abilities with their perseverance. This is a very correct attitude, given that virtuosity is of little use without constant work, without study, without the richness of experience.

Document

A certificate can be proof.

A document or receipt

Consistency is also the action and effect of making something evident in a reliable and authentic way . By extension, the document in which a certain act or situation has been recorded is known as a certificate: «Can you give me proof of the procedure? This is how I present it at work" , "I already signed all the papers, but the lawyer has not given me any proof" , "I need a proof from the radio to present at the stadium and accredit me" .

One of the most common certificates is that of a regular student . This certificate allows you to verify that an individual attends classes and is enrolled in a specific educational center; In some countries, it is possible to obtain certain benefits by simply presenting it when purchasing products or services, as is the case with public transport tickets and theater and cinema tickets. If you lose regularity (due to the number of fouls, sanctions or other reasons), you cannot access this record.

Receipts , on the other hand, are proof of payment . By accessing a receipt, a person has the record that allows them to prove that they have paid for a product or service . This document can take different forms, such as a sealed invoice, a ticket, a bill, among others. Sometimes, receipts also fulfill a fiscal function so that the seller and/or buyer pay the taxes corresponding to the commercial transaction.
