Window

View

A window is an opening that allows light and air to pass through.

Window is an opening left in a wall to allow the entry of light and ventilation . The windows are at a more or less high height from the ground and usually have glass so that, when they are closed, nothing from the outside can enter.

In general, the windows have blinds , which are small fixed or movable boards that make it possible to regulate the entry of light into the room. The window can be closed (that is, with the glass in such a way that no air enters from the outside), but with the blinds raised to let in light. The reverse situation can also occur, with an open window and the blinds lowered (so that some air enters, but not light).

The window can also have curtains on the inside of the room , which are fabrics that isolate light or protect the privacy of those inside the house.

Types of windows

There are multiple types of windows that we find in any building, whether private or public. Among those, the sliding ones , the guillotine ones, the fixed ones , the folding ones or the tilting ones would stand out. All these types of windows are classified based on their sashes and their opening, however, we also have to point out that we can determine the types of windows based on the materials that have been used in their production.

In this way, taking into account the last criterion mentioned, we would find that there are steel , wooden , aluminum or PVC windows. Polyvinyl chloride is the name hidden behind these acronyms and it is a material that in recent years has achieved significant demand in the construction area since it is characterized by offering better insulation, not only thermal but also acoustic.

Floors

A window can be open or closed.
