Spinning is physical exercise performed with a stationary bicycle.

Spinning is a term that is not part of the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) . It is a concept that allows us to name the aerobic training that took place on a stationary bicycle , to the rhythm of music .

Spinning, also known as indoor cycling , was created by South African cyclist Jonathan Goldberg in the early 1990s with the intention of promoting comprehensive, group exercise.

It must be emphasized that this sport is performed in intervals. By this we mean that during each class, in front of which there is a trainer, changes are made in both pedaling speed and intensity . Hence, the person who practices spinning in each session will pedal as if they were on flat terrain, as if they were going up or down, as if they had to face a sharp curve...
