Sarcasm

Parody

Sarcasm is associated with mockery and parody.

Sorna is a concept with several meanings. It may be something that is done or communicated in a hidden manner or excessively slowly .

For example: “We all know that it is an unpleasant measure: we are going to have to communicate it with sarcasm” , “The man began to organize his desk with sarcasm, trying to lengthen the time as much as possible” , “The boy took the things to the pocket with sarcasm” .

Sarcasm and irony

Another use of the notion is linked to parody and sarcasm . Something done or said with sarcasm carries a certain dose of irony or mordacity : “The mayor responded with sarcasm to the concerns of the opposition legislators,” “The player referred sarcastically to his possible signing for a European club,” “The comment of the singer was analyzed with sarcasm on social networks .

Suppose a tennis player is giving a press conference. In this context, while analyzing his last months on the professional circuit, a journalist comments that he has won two games and lost twelve this year. Faced with this reality, the tennis player sarcastically points out: “Well, those two games I won were a great achievement.” The athlete, in this way, appeals to irony to make a self-criticism about the results he achieved.

Sarcasm

Whoever acts sardonically does so with scathing or contemptuous manner.

a mockery

Sarcasm can also be used in a derogatory or aggressive way . “Yes, of course, your ideas interest me a lot: I'm eager to hear them,” may be a sarcastic response , if the subject actually has no interest in the interlocutor's ideas.

In this sense, sarcasm can also be associated with terms such as mockery , retintin, sarcasm, joke and cynicism. For many people, the term has no important differences with irony, although they distinguish them simply by pointing out that it has a somewhat less sophisticated character than irony, closer to mockery than to cynicism, for example.

Laugh sarcastically

It is said that someone smiles sarcastically when they hide a double intention behind their apparent joy. This expression is very common in fiction, perhaps more so than in everyday life, since it can be somewhat exaggerated.

Although not all people perform it in the same way, it is characterized by a marked tendency towards one of the sides (the mouth arches almost exclusively to the right or left) and by the half-open position of the eyes, which seems to observe with anxiety to the "victim" of sarcasm.

a musical instrument

Sorna, on the other hand, is a wind musical instrument that has a double reed, held by a metal tube. This instrument is popular in Asian nations such as Azerbaijan and Iran . In this case, unlike the previous meanings, the word sarna is masculine.

When playing a piece with a sorna, a small amount of air is forced through the interior of the aforementioned tube, which not only supports the double reed, but also joins it to the bore of the instrument. A drill, within the field of music , is an internal chamber that serves to mark the path of the air that enters under pressure and ultimately becomes sound, after producing vibrations. As with the oboe, for example, the person must make sure to empty their lungs of air before inhaling again.

It is important to mention that, although sarna is not popular in the West, this does not mean that we should downplay it. The same occurs with many other instruments and musical styles from Eastern countries, such as China and Japan , whose cultures are very different from those prevailing in the media of international impact. Since Spanish-speaking countries share the tuning and organization of the orchestra with the United States and much of Europe , many come to think that nothing exists beyond these limits.
