Always

What is always done is done frequently or periodically or constantly.

It is always a notion that comes from the Latin word semper . The term refers to what happens at any or all times . For example: “I always come to eat at this restaurant,” “On Sol's birthday the usual thing happened: the aunt started arguing with Roberto and they ended up shouting,” “These streets always flood when it rains.”

The concept usually has an indefinite scope. If a person states that they “always” go to a bar to drink their favorite cocktails, what they are indicating is that they are a regular customer of said establishment and, therefore, visit it frequently. However, it is not clear whether “always” implies that he goes to the bar every day, once a week, monthly, etc.

Various uses of the term always

The same can be said about someone who “always” eats rice with chicken . It is understood from the expression that rice with chicken is part of the usual menu or diet of the individual in question, but it is impossible to know how often he eats this dish.

The woman who states “I always believed that my daughter would dedicate herself to dance,” for her part, will be indicating that, for some reason, she had long intuited the activity that her descendant would choose as a way of life.

The notion, on the other hand, can be used with reference to what happens “at least” or “in any case” : “It is likely that I will not win the title in this tournament, although I will always have the peace of mind that I have given everything I could. ” , “The economic situation may worsen, but I will always count on my late husband's pension” .

The concept in music

In addition to all the above, we cannot ignore that this term has been used widely within the musical field. Thus, for example, there are several artists who have released albums with the title “Always” . This would be the case of the now deceased Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal , who presented it in 1986 , or of the Il Divo quartet, who did the same in 2006 .

However, we must not forget that in Spain there is a musical group that responds to the name of Siempre Así . This is a group from Seville, which began its journey in the early 90s and still continues to make its numerous fans enjoy its music.

It was a group of friends who chose to create this group and they chose the aforementioned name as a way to make it clear that, no matter what happened in their lives, they were always going to be together. And so they continue. Among his most significant successes are songs such as “Always like this” , “If men have come to the moon” or versions of “My way” , “This afternoon I saw rain” or “To return to return” .

Among their numerous followers are illustrious people, such as Infanta Elena , the sister of the current King Felipe VI of Spain , for whom they even sang at her wedding, or the now deceased Cayetana de Alba .
