A refined product , on the other hand, is the result of a refining process. When refining something (a task that is carried out in facilities known as refineries ), it is given greater purity since waste and various types of particles are separated.

Refined oil , therefore, is that which has already been subjected to some type of treatment and which, thanks to it, can be marketed in different ways. Before refining, the substance in question was crude oil.

Risks of refined foods

Within anyone's diet, it must be taken into account that there are numerous products that have the refined category. A circumstance that is not at all recommended by doctors or nutrition experts since it is considered that the items we ingest with this characteristic bring with them a series of consequences that are not beneficial for the body:

  • They have preservatives, additives or flavor enhancers that are not nutrients.
  • They do not provide any type of fiber, which is essential to ingest to avoid constipation or even intestinal problems in general.
  • They cause the person who takes them to give their body a large amount of calories.
  • They lack minerals and vitamins that are necessary for the body.

This type of oil , refined, is the result of undertaking a series of processes such as purification, neutralization, discoloration, deodorization and winterization. In this way, when obtained it will be identified as a tasteless, colorless and odorless fat.
