-Eminem (1972). In 1999, this artist rose to stardom, and he has become one of the best sellers in this style. -Tupac Shakur (1971 – 1996). For many, this, also known as 2Pac, is the best rapper in history, as this is proven, for example, by the fact that he is the artist of that type who has the most albums sold.

Some subgenres
It is important to highlight, however, that there are many subgenres within rap. Some approach rock and pop , such as hardcore rap or pop rap . In these cases, the melodies and themes are closer to the song format that is associated with the aforementioned genres.
Gangsta rap , for its part, is the type of rap that tries to tell about the social problems suffered by the most humble regions. Violence , crime and drugs therefore appear frequently in the lyrics.
Rap in the music industry
Despite having emerged in marginal areas and as an expression of rebellion through combative lyrics, rap progressed until it became a commercial success .
Today it is part of the music industry and moves millions of dollars a year, being a prominent part of the cultural business around the world , but especially in the United States .
