The concept of perspective has several uses. In this case we are interested in its meaning as the point of view taken to analyze a problem or reflect on an issue.
This first word that gives shape to the term gender perspective that concerns us, we must indicate that it has its etymological origin in French. Specifically, in the word “perspective”, which, in turn, derives from Latin. More precisely, it is the result of the union of the prefix “per-”, which can be translated as “through”, and the verb “specere”, which is synonymous with “observe”.

Studies with a gender perspective seek to explore how gender impacts the social roles and opportunities of individuals. In this way they intend to denature hierarchies between genders and point towards equality .
Specifically, the gender perspective becomes a necessary tool to end the inequalities that exist between men and women. Thus, based on it, it is indicated that we must choose to undertake measures for this purpose such as the following:
-Strengthen the decision-making power and management that women have in different areas.
-Carry out a fair assessment of the work carried out by men and women in terms of the tasks carried out within the home, caring for the elderly and sick or even raising children.
-To undertake what is the equitable redistribution of activities between the two aforementioned sexes. Activities referring not only to what is the public sphere but also to the private sphere.
-Proceed to modify the different rules, values, social structures or even mechanisms that continue to promote inequality between men and women.
