Respecting the shared project, not lying or hiding and, above all, having sexual relations only with the person who has been chosen as a partner are some of the issues that concern fidelity.
Monotony, a scarce and unattractive sexual passion, discovering new sensations or feeling desired are some of the reasons that experts give as the cause of most of the infidelities that occur.
Taking into account this meaning of the term at hand, we must emphasize that it is usually related to the concept of monogamy. We can define this as the model of romantic relationship that is established between two people who promise each other loving and sexual exclusivity either because they agree to it verbally or because they get married.

Currently, certain Islamic groups still appeal to this notion to censor and attack those who profess another religion: “We will attack infidels who want to impose their perverted norms on this sacred territory.”
