StuffThere are concepts that are used very frequently and are easy to understand, although their definition is not so simple. An example of this type of term is thing , which has its etymological origin in the Latin language.

The first definition mentioned in the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ) refers to that which has an entity , regardless of whether it is something artificial, natural, abstract or concrete.

Generally, however, the idea of a thing refers to something inanimate, lacking life . Objects, in this sense, are things: furniture, cars, electronic devices, houses, etc. On the contrary, people, animals, plants and other living beings are not.

Although by definition we should not include living beings in the set of things, it is possible to qualify someone in this way to express displeasure with their way of being or their physical appearance. "I can't believe you left me to go out with that thing."

A question or matter is also called a thing. For example: “I'm not going to be able to go play soccer tonight, I have to resolve some things at home,” “I have a lot of work to do, I'll call you later,” “There is one thing that worries me and that I would like to do.talk to you.”

In the field of law , a thing is an object of a legal relationship whose subject is one or more people. Obligations, rights and assets are things at a legal level.

A man can be the holder of the right of ownership of a thing, such as a motorcycle or an apartment (apartment). A distinction can be made between movable things, immovable things, tradable things, non-tradable things, fungible things and non-fungible things, among other types.
