bread pudding

Let's see below a recipe for bread pudding, which can be eaten hot or cold. Let's start with the ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread (preferably from the previous day);
  • 500 ml of milk;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 100 g of sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence;
  • 50 g raisins (optional);
  • butter (to grease the mold);
  • icing sugar (optional, to decorate).

Let's move on to the instructions. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a pudding mold with butter to prevent sticking. In a large bowl, mix the milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. Beat well until all ingredients are combined. If we want to add raisins to the pudding, we can soak them in hot water for a few minutes to soften them. Then drain them and add them to the bowl with the milk mixture.

Cut the bread slices into small pieces or triangles and place them in the bowl with the milk mixture. Let the bread soak well with the mixture for a few minutes, making sure each piece is soaked. Pour the bread and milk mixture into the greased mold, evenly distributing the bread and (if we have added them) the raisins. Bake the bread pudding in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is firm to the touch.

Once ready, remove the pudding from the oven and let it cool slightly before unmolding it. If we wish, we can sprinkle a little icing sugar over the pudding before serving to give it a sweet and decorative touch.

  • 3 eggs;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence;
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour;
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder;
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda;
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt;
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional);
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional).

Washed carrots

Carrot pudding is a popular preparation that can be eaten at any time of the day.

Add the grated carrots to the mixture and stir to incorporate them. In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon powder. Add these dry ingredients to the wet carrot mixture and stir gently until everything is mixed properly.

Pour the dough into the mold and smooth it with a spatula. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Once ready, let the pudding cool in the mold for a few minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack . You can sprinkle a little icing sugar to decorate.
