A peaceful person is usually relaxed and does not get angry often.
The calm
It is important to note that the notion of peaceful can also be applied to what is calm and charming : “It is a very peaceful and sunny day, which invites you to spend long hours on the beach,” “The peaceful weather will last until next Tuesday and then it will begin to deteriorate, according to what the meteorologists reported,” “This is a peaceful town, with little traffic and few incidents of insecurity.”
The idea of peaceful often appears linked to meteorology . When the weather is good, there is no wind and there is no precipitation, it can be described as peaceful. These are ideal days to enjoy outdoors. On the other hand, storms and gusts of wind make a day not peaceful.
Gentle in literature and as a name
There are numerous literary works that have used the word that concerns us now in their titles. This would be the case, for example, of the following:
– “The Gentle Don” . It is considered one of the most important works of Russian literature of all time. It was written by Mijaíl Shólokhov (1905 – 1984) and is made up of four volumes. It comes to narrate the life and struggles of the so-called Don Cossacks , so called because they settled in the area of the Don River .
