An international agreement is an agreement established by protagonists from different countries . They can be different States, but also companies, clubs or other organizations.

The pact, alliance or understanding established by two or more parties is called an agreement . International , for its part, is that linked to two or more countries or that is related to nations other than its own.

For example: «Five South American countries established an international agreement to promote exports» , «The Spanish team signed an international agreement with the Argentine institution with the aim of attracting new talents» , «Our company has signed several international agreements to expand in different markets .

Examples of international agreement

Suppose that a country has a significant debt with an organization made up of five nations. Faced with difficulties in paying what is owed, the government decides to renegotiate the conditions of the debt with its creditors. After numerous talks and meetings, the debtor country establishes an international agreement with the organization : it suspends payment for two years and then resumes its obligation, but with a reduction of 20% of the interest. This gives the debtor time to recover their finances and obtain the funds necessary to make payments. The creditor, for its part, grants you these benefits since, otherwise, you run the risk of never collecting the debt.

Eight countries, on the other hand, can sign an international agreement to combat climate change . These nations commit to reducing their polluting emissions and investing in new technologies.
