Zombie

A zombie is the living dead.

Zombie is a term from the English language that, in our language, translates as zombie . It is a corpse that, through some type of spell, has been reanimated . A zombie, therefore, is a living dead person .

Although the concept can be used with multiple nuances, it is generally used with reference to the deceased who was resurrected by a magical element and who obeys the orders of the one who resurrected him. This meaning is common in voodoo : those who profess this religion believe that a bokor (a type of priest who performs black magic) can perform a ritual to revive a dead individual and turn him into his slave .

Characteristics of a zombie

It can be said that a zombie is a creature without consciousness or self-determination , that only follows orders or that acts on impulse. The most common representations show zombies as beings of no intelligence , although of great physical strength.

Zombies are often presented as cannibals : when they bite a (living) person, they also become zombies. Regarding the appearance of zombies, they usually have very pale or greenish skin, which even falls off in different layers, as if it were rotten.

Terror

Zombies are protagonists of numerous series and movies.

Frank Darabont is the creator of the series, inspired by the comic of the same name by Robert Kirkman . It tells how the world has become a true chaos, something that a police officer discovers when he wakes up from the coma in which he has been immersed for a long time.

Now society is not the way he lived: zombies have conquered the world and only a few small groups of humans manage to resist by hiding and trying to destroy these living dead as best they can. And precisely one of those groups, where his family is located, is the one that the aforementioned agent of authority joins.
