Transport

Ship

Transport allows goods to be moved from one point to another.

The concept of transport is used to describe the act and consequence of moving something from one place to another. It also allows us to name those devices or vehicles that serve this purpose, carrying individuals or merchandise from one place to another.

Some examples where the term may appear could be: "The transport was delayed more than two hours with respect to the scheduled departure time" , "I would like to go on vacation, but the price of transport is increasingly expensive and I do not have enough money" .

Transport and logistics

Transport is part of logistics , which is the set of means and methods that allow a service or a company to be organized.

In the world of commerce , logistics is linked to the placement of goods in the right place, at the right time and under the right conditions. Therefore, the transport of goods is included in it. The objective of a company is to guarantee the correct distribution and marketing of products at the lowest possible cost. In this sense, transport includes both vehicles and related infrastructures (trucks, ships, freight trains, roads, ports, etc.).

Classification according to type

There are two types of transport, public and private.

Public transportation refers to buses, trains and other mobile units that serve to mobilize the citizens of a community and that are funded and managed by the current State . It should be noted that in some cases, these cars belong to private companies that have some kind of agreement with the government and have assumed the responsibility of providing a certain service to the community. It is important to note that this type of transportation is not intended to generate profits, but rather must fulfill a social purpose and be useful to the community. For example: "Public transportation is collapsing and requires greater investment to meet the needs of the population."

Private transport , on the other hand, is that which belongs to individuals or private companies. In this case, those responsible for the maintenance of said vehicles are their owners, as well as those who will be responsible for them in the event of an accident.

Public transport

Public transport makes it possible for citizens to get around .

Transporting the guitar

In music, the concept is used to refer to a flexible object that is placed on the neck of the guitar and other string instruments to transfer the tonality of a piece without varying the digitization (drawings made with the left hand on the strings to produce the desired sound).

When you place it, even if you play in a key, the sound you will get will be a higher key . For example, if you place the fret on the first fret and play an Em (E minor), the sound produced will be an Fm (F minor), and if you move it one more fret, you will get an F#m (F sharp minor).

Its uses can be two:

* Raise the pitch of the instrument : allowing you to accompany other instruments or a singer playing at the height that is most comfortable for them;

* Play difficult chords in an easier way : By placing it, certain chords considered complex such as the B flat Major or the F Major, which require placing the index finger transversely (barreled), can be simplified; it is very useful for beginners or those guitarists with little skill.

Although many refer to it as a mute , it is necessary to point out that this is incorrect, since its function is to mute the sound and not modify it. On the other hand, another way of referring to this device is with the term capotraste .

Finally, it is worth mentioning that its creator was the Andalusian guitarist José Patino González, known throughout the world under the pseudonym El Maestro Patiño.
