Rural

Field

The rural is associated with life in the countryside.

From the Latin rurālis , rural is an adjective that refers to what belongs or relates to life in the countryside . The rural, therefore, is that opposite to the urban (the area of the city ).

A field is a large piece of land that is outside of towns. The arable land, the crops and the crops are part of the countryside and, therefore, of the rural area.

The rural landscape usually includes large areas of land and activities related to agriculture or livestock. If urban life is linked to the economic service sector or industrial activity, the rural world includes milking cows, planting soybeans or raising livestock, among other activities.

rural tourism

The tourist activity that takes place in a rural area is known as rural tourism . This type of tourism usually takes place in small towns (with less than 2,000 inhabitants) or in areas surrounding the urban centers of cities.

In recent years there has been a notable increase in the number of people who opt for their getaways and spend their holidays in rural tourism spaces. This is mainly due to several compelling reasons:

Economic crisis. The unfortunate financial situation that is being experienced throughout the world has led to less purchasing power and the ability to spend less money on vacations. Hence, rural tourism has grown since it is very economical and also allows many people to enjoy a rural house for a small amount.

Relax. The hectic pace of life we lead makes us need to relax and disconnect and for this there is nothing better than rural tourism as it allows us to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of big cities.

Multi-adventure. Being in an environmental environment not only gives us the opportunity to breathe pure, unpolluted air but also offers us the opportunity to carry out a significant number of activities. That means everything from hiking trails to horseback riding, rafting, climbing, cycling routes...

Town

In the rural world, population density is low.

Accommodation in farms or ranches

Rural tourism offers accommodation in large ranches or haciendas that are remodeled and adapted to provide all possible comforts to visitors. It is common for these establishments to be run by families and run by their own owners.

Specifically, among the accommodations that allow you to enjoy rural tourism there are several modalities. This means that we can not only talk about rural houses but also rural hotels, rural apartments and even camping within this modality. Each of them offers a series of different advantages and services when it comes to spending a holiday in an environment of this type.

Agrotourism is part of rural tourism. This modality consists of showing and teaching tourists the production process carried out in agricultural establishments. The visitor can learn how artisanal cheese is produced, for example, and even has the option of purchasing these products in the same establishment.
