Margin

The margo or edge of a watercourse is known as a riverbank.

Ribera is a term that comes from the Latin word riparĭa and refers to the shore or margin of a watercourse . For example: “The wind dragged the ship towards the bank and caused it to run aground” , “The pollution of the bank is unacceptable” , “The government ordered the evacuation of all people living on the river bank” .
