A remake is a new version of an already released film.

Remake is a term that is not part of the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ). It is an English word that can be translated as reissue .

The concept is used in our language to name a type of adaptation of an artistic work . A remake is a new version of a film or television series that repeats its story quite faithfully and maintains the same characters.

The remake, therefore, usually consists of narrating the same thing that was previously narrated, but using different actors or modifying the context of the story , to name some of the most frequent changes.

Rise of remakes

The rise of remakes in the film industry reveals a lack of creativity and fear of betting on innovation. Hollywood studios prefer to revive a film that has proven successful in the past and reshoot it with minimal changes. This leaves less room for new stories and different films.

On many occasions it is not possible to repeat the success of the original film or have the support of critics and the public. However, it is also true that there are many other remakes that have been more praised and praised than even the feature films on which they were inspired.

“Heat” . In 1995, the premiere of this film took place, which was a new version of a television movie titled “LA Takedown” .
