Abduction can be used as a synonym for kidnapping.
Rapture is a term with etymological origin in the Latin raptus that has several uses. It may be the rapture or alienation that leads a person to act impulsively or irrationally at a certain moment.

The Italian sculptor Giovanni da Bologna , who in Spain was known as Juan de Bologna , is the author of this work, which is considered his masterpiece. It is dated 1581 , was made of marble and represents the mythological case of the abduction of the Sabine women by the founders of Rome . And when Romulus founded that city, there was the problem that there were very few women to be able to form families, so the Romans set their eyes on the Sabine women. However, when they refused, they decided to kidnap them.
On the other hand, we cannot forget the painting by Gustave Moreau entitled “The Abduction of Europe” . This is a watercolor painting from 1869 in which the artist represents the episode from mythology in which Zeus , falling in love with Europa and unable to obtain her love, makes the decision to transform into a beautiful white bull. An animal that captivated the girl, who did not hesitate to climb on its back and that made Zeus run to the island of Crete , where he revealed his true personality and made her the first queen of the place.
In Catholicism , finally, the moment in which Jesus would return to Earth to raise to heaven those who have been saved thanks to their union with God is called the rapture or rapture .
