Range

Soldier

The military rank is associated with the position occupied according to the hierarchy that governs the armed forces.

Rank is a category that can be applied to a person based on their professional situation or social status. For example: "We have to respect the rank of the superior when making a request," "Address me without forgetting your rank or you will be sanctioned."

The concept can also refer to the level or category of something: "The hotel is outside our budget range," "Taking into account the results, we can aspire to be in the range from fifth to tenth place."

military rank

The hierarchical system that establishes the escalation of command within the armed forces is known as a military rank . This rank is visible through the use of insignia on the uniform, usually attached to the chest or shoulders of the soldier.

In the case of the military field we have to make it clear that the ranks are perfectly clear and delimited. Thus, specifically there are four large groups within which their own ranges are also established:

General Officers . Within this classification are the Captain General, the General, the Lieutenant General, the Division General and the Brigadier General.

Officials . In your case, this group is made up of various ranks: Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, Commander, Captain, Lieutenant, Ensign ...

Non-commissioned officers . The ranks established within this denomination are: Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, Second Lieutenant, Brigade, First Sergeant and Sergeant.

Troop . In this fourth military group the established ranks are the following: Senior Corporal, First Corporal, Corporal, First Class Soldier and Private.

Worksheet

The interval that houses a set of data is called range, which includes the lower and upper limits of a statistic.

The term in statistics and algebra

In the field of statistics , the range indicates the amplitude of the variation of a phenomenon between its lower limit and a clearly higher one. The statistical range , therefore, is the interval that contains said data and that can be calculated by subtracting the minimum value from the maximum value considered.

In algebra , the rank of a matrix is the number of columns that are linearly independent.

Therapeutic range

The therapeutic range , meanwhile, indicates the minimum effective level and the maximum admissible level in the pharmacological doses that are provided to a patient during treatment.

There are medications with a very wide therapeutic range (the dose can be increased several times from the minimum effect before reaching a harmful effect) and others that, however, do not allow variations.

Other uses of the concept

In the same way we have to emphasize that in Ecuador the term range is used with another meaning. Specifically, we find the fact that in this country the aforementioned concept is used to define a row of schoolchildren who are perfectly aligned .

In addition to all of the above, we also have to determine that in the field of cinema there is a film whose title is the word we are analyzing. We are referring to "Rank" . It is an animated production that premiered in 2011 and is directed by Gore Verbinski, known for the different parts of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" saga and horror films such as "The Ring." The film in question, for its part, takes as its protagonist a lizard who believes he is a hero.
