PvP

Video game

In the PvP mode of a video game, two or more players face each other.

The acronym PvP , or PVP , is used in several areas. One of its most common uses is in the field of video games , where it refers to the English expression player versus player (in our language, "player against player" ). In the PvP mode of a video game, therefore, players face each other .

PvP Versatility

It's important to understand that this can apply to virtually any genre, as the decision is up to the developers. For this reason, we find PvP role-playing games, real-time strategy games, fighting games, first-person shooters, action-adventure and puzzle games, among many others.

There are products in which all development is PvP. In others, however, the PvP modality appears at certain levels or instances, and not in the entire development of the action . This means that some games are conceived with this idea as part of their essence, while others are expanded by allowing their players to compete against each other, but are not dependent on this way.

As we said above, neither PvP nor the genre represent a limit when designing a game, something that we can verify with the existence of online versions of Tetris, a series that was created before the existence of the Internet. The important thing is that the multiplayer mode does not negatively interfere with the mechanics , but rather provides a refreshing twist to the experience.

Within the endless list of PvP games we find many that benefit greatly from the possibility of facing other players, but also some that include this option simply to attract a larger portion of the community . This difference is noticeable in the quality, depth and variety of the missions, in the technical section and in the stability of the servers , for example.

RRP as retail price

For the economy , on the other hand, RRP is retail price . The RRP is the amount that the final consumer must pay if they want to buy a good or use a service.

The determination of the PVP is given by multiple factors and is usually a source of debate among economists. The work that includes the merchandise, the cost of inputs and raw materials, utility, demand and the desired profit margin are some of the elements that affect its formation.

When the PVP increases steadily, the phenomenon known as inflation occurs. On the contrary, the decrease in prices is called deflation .

Market

PVP is the acronym for “ retail price ”.

Polyvinylpyrrolidone

Polyvinylpyrrolidone or PVP, on the other hand, is a harmless polymer in its pure state that is soluble in water . Also mentioned as povidone , it is used in pharmacy and in the in vitro fertilization technique, for example.

Let us remember that a substance that is composed of large molecules (the so-called macromolecules ) that are formed when joined by covalent bonds of one or more monomers (simple units) is known as a polymer .

Another application of PvP is the expansion of blood plasma in people who have suffered trauma. When included in certain molecular virus diagnostic tests, it is labeled “PVP 58000.” Returning to in vitro fertilization, povidone in this case is used to slow down the sperm, trap them and practice intracytoplasmic sperm injection ( ICSI ).
