Technical project

A technical project may include schematics, graphs, and other information.

When a person or a group of individuals have several ideas, develop a plan and execute actions in a coordinated manner to achieve a goal, they are said to have a project . Projects are guides that establish steps to follow to meet an objective.

The notion of technique , for its part, refers to that which, in accordance with different standards, allows an action to be carried out to achieve a specific effect. It can be said that techniques are a series of processes that respect different criteria and that are used as a means to reach an end.

What is a technical project

A technical project , therefore, is one that uses a technique to achieve an achievement . This type of project is common in engineering , used to determine the characteristics of a work that is planned to be executed.

The technical project is formed with diagrams, graphics, textual data and plans , among other technical information. Its purpose is to provide the necessary support to justify the development of the work in question.

Specifically, regarding the creation of the technical project, it is important to keep in mind that it will be made up of highly valuable documents such as those that make all the relevant aspects clear:

-Memory, which explains both the purpose of the project and the process undertaken.

-The plans that are necessary to be able to make clear the dimensions and characteristics of the solution.

-The specifications (organizational, economic, technical...).

-The budget that the initiative itself has.

Planning

Technical projects are common in engineering.

Different phases

These projects consist of different phases , which are usually detailed in different documents. In addition, annexes are included that allow us to complement what is expressed in the project.

The phases that make up any technical project may vary based on the technical branch in question, the subject in question or the initiative to be carried out. However, it is established that, in general, there are eight that can be determined in this regard:

1-Identification and concrete delimitation of what the specific problem or issue is.

2-Search, collection and exhaustive analysis of what is the necessary information.

3-Construction of the objective, that is, realization of the purposes that are sought to be achieved with the project in question.

4-Search and choice of possible alternatives that can be undertaken.

5-Planning of both the actions and tasks as well as the resources that can be used.

6-Start-up, that is, execution of the proposal or selected alternative.

7-Periodic evaluation of the work carried out and the progress that has been achieved.

8-Communication. That is, it would be about making the interested parties aware of the result achieved with the relevant project undertaken.

Utility of the technical project

What a technical project entails, in short, is an endorsement of the work procedure that is developed to design and execute a work . Through the project, it is possible to articulate the different actions that must be carried out to satisfy a need.

An example of a technical project is one that determines the viability of the construction of a hydroelectric dam to provide a population with electricity . In the project, engineers and other experts analyze the scope of the work, study its feasibility, etc.
