What is an educational project

With these ideas clear, we can now focus on the concept of an educational project . This is a training proposal that someone plans to carry out in a certain area. It can be said that an educational project consists of planning a process so that students achieve certain learning objectives. Like any project, it arises from the detection of a need or a problem and its purpose is the satisfaction or resolution of what is detected.

Detection of problems and needs

Many times, problems and needs are not apparent, regardless of their severity. For this reason, we should not wait for them to manifest themselves, but it is advisable to closely and frequently observe the reality of the different areas of society to enjoy prudent planning time and give rise to effective execution with lasting results. The importance of this first phase should never be underestimated, as it constitutes the basis on which action is based.

Suppose that, in a town, educators warn about young people's lack of knowledge about sexuality . With the aim of preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and minimizing the chances of unwanted pregnancies, they decide to develop an educational project that involves training adolescents in these topics. From then on, it was agreed to teach sex education classes in schools, distribute information leaflets in clubs and teach about contraceptive methods at public events.

Learning

Through an educational project, it is planned how students will achieve the learning objectives.

Center educational project

A center educational project is known as a document of a pedagogical nature that is prepared by the Educational Community to define and list the features that identify a specific center, formulate the objectives it wishes to achieve and express its functional and organizational structure . It is a series of coherent statements that pursue the direction of an intervention process, for which they provide the fundamental points that give rise to action and evolution.

The educational center project must clearly define all the objectives that the Community wishes to achieve, placing special emphasis on the features that distinguish the center in question from the rest . This document must facilitate the prioritization of the different points, which must be made operational in the teachers' activity schedules and in the annual plan, to reach the students and be evaluated. It is important to note that this type of project is not unalterable.

One of the priorities of a school educational project in an inclusive school is to assume the diversity of its students and, therefore, enable the creation of a curricular project and an organization that benefits them all equally, through work of teachers and other professionals of the institute. In other words, the project must offer answers to certain questions that define both the identity of the center and the goals it sets out, without leaving aside the observation of its historical, economic and social context, the tools and resources it will use and the human group involved.
