Benefit

Agreement

A service is called provision.

Provision is the action and effect of lending (giving something to someone to use and then return it, helping to achieve something, offering oneself). The term comes from the Latin praestatĭo .

A benefit may be the service agreed upon in an agreement or required by an authority. The usual thing is that the benefit is stipulated by a contract that imposes rights and obligations. For example: "The company promised to offer the service free of charge to the victims of the earthquake" , "I am going to go to court to report that the telecommunications company failed to comply with its services" , "I am very satisfied with the new government benefit for retirees who must do paperwork .

Social benefit

The social benefit is a subsidy or public aid of an economic nature: "The governor clarified that the unemployment benefit will be paid from the 5th of next month" , "The State should increase its benefits to the less favored sectors" , " If I am elected president, I will increase benefits and assistance .

Precisely these types of benefits are found in these most current moments throughout the world since the economic crisis that is being experienced has caused many people to be unemployed and depend on them to be able to survive.

Aid

A benefit can be a subsidy or other type of financial aid.

Help in motherhood and other situations

Another of the most important types of benefits that exist in many countries around the world are maternity benefits. We can establish that these are subsidies that are granted to workers when they are on rest periods established by law since they are in the process of maternity, adoption, guardianship or also what would be foster care.

These benefits will stop being provided to the employee when he returns to work because the planned periods of sick leave due to the aforementioned situations have already ended.

However, there are many other types of benefits such as those established for widowhood, orphanhood, temporary or permanent disabilities as a result of having suffered a traffic or work accident, those provided for people who are already retired...

Benefit in law

Within the law it is established that a benefit is the commitment that is established by contract between two people.

In this way, one of them must obtain a service or thing in question from the second because it has been determined in that legal document.

More uses of the concept

Another use of the concept is linked to the service, performance or comfort that something provides : "I bought a computer that offers state-of-the-art features," "The performance of this engine does not satisfy me: I need another type of feature," "The hotel provides sensational features" , "I want to try the car: if its features satisfy me, I'll buy it" .

The rent or tax paid to the owner or some corporate entity is also called a benefit: "I had to pay this year's land benefit."
