Firearm

A gun is a firearm.

A pistol is a firearm that can be operated with one hand , ensuring ease of aiming and pulling the trigger. These short weapons have a reduced range: they cannot hit a target that is at a great distance.

The pistols are classified as semi-automatic since, after firing, the next cartridge is loaded into the chamber automatically, although only one shot can be fired at a time with each press of the trigger.

Pistols and revolvers

The revolver is an ancestor of the pistol, which means that both terms are often used synonymously, especially in colloquial language.

However, it is possible to detail several differences between pistols and revolvers: while the former carry ammunition in a magazine, revolvers house them in a drum; Pistols can load more bullets than revolvers and their trigger is more sensitive; Revolvers, on the other hand, can use higher-powered ammunition than pistols.

Responsible use

It is important to note that, due to their ability to cause harm, guns must be handled responsibly . To buy a gun, it is generally necessary to register with some state agency and demonstrate skill in handling the weapon.

Furthermore, it is common that, in order to be authorized to carry and/or carry a pistol, the interested party must undergo a psychological examination that confirms that he or she is an individual capable of assuming responsibility.

Hot melt glue gun

Hot melt glue is also known as hot glue or hot glue and is a type of adhesive that is usually distributed in solid cylinder-shaped sticks that must be placed in the corresponding compartment of a heat gun to be melted and applied when so desired. This gun has a resistance to heat and melt the adhesive; Some models have a mechanism to move the bar inward as it is consumed, while others require the user to do this manually.

As a curious fact, the name by which this gun is usually mentioned in Spanish is silicone gun , even though the glue does not contain said material. The error arises from the similarity that exists between the hot melt adhesive stick and silicone, but does not at all reflect the composition of the product in question. As if that were not enough, this confusion not only takes place in everyday speech, but many models carry this incorrect name on their packages.

Despite the simplicity of its design, the glue gun is sold in different sizes, depending on the diameter of the adhesive stick for which it is manufactured. The most popular is prepared for 11 millimeter diameter cylinders. It should be noted that all accept bars of any length, as these enter the compartment little by little (they are not expected to fit inside the gun). Regarding the adhesive raw materials , the most common are ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyethylene, polyester and polypropylene; additives such as wax and resin are also usually present.

Some of the applications of hot melt glue are homemade crafts; the assembly of various products in the industrial field; the manufacture of disposable diapers; and sealing boxes made of various types of cardboard. It is a product that is affordable and easy to use, although it is recommended to keep it away from children and handle it with care to avoid burns.
