Pine is a concept that comes from the Latin pinus . It is a tree that is part of the group of conifers (those species that have cone-shaped seeds) and that, in general, has an appearance similar to a pyramid .

For example: "Let's rest under those pine trees" , "Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the young people were surprised by the beauty of the pine forests that stretched below them" , "A pine tree fell down the storm and crushed a house .

The seed of the pine is known as piñon , while its fruit is the pineapple . It should be noted, however, that there are multiple species throughout the planet, each with its own characteristics.

A highly appreciated wood

Pine wood , on the other hand, is one of the most appreciated for its natural characteristics. It is a resistant wood, with good durability, that can be easily treated or painted. Because it is a relatively abundant resource, its price is not high.

In this way, many pieces of furniture (such as beds, tables or chairs) are made with pine wood: "Do you like the pine bed I bought?" "When we got married, my grandmother gave us a table with pine chairs."
