Film

Watching movies is a very popular pastime.

Film is a term that comes from the Latin pellicŭla and has various uses. Its most common meaning is linked to a cinematographic work that usually tells a story written or adapted by a screenwriter and whose staging is the responsibility of a director.

The film may feature actors playing the various characters in the story or may feature animated drawings using various techniques . It is important to note that the film is the work itself, beyond its format and the place of exhibition (i.e. a film may be projected in a movie theater or watched on a television at home).

What is a movie

In general terms, a traditional film can be said to be a sequence of photographic images taken by a camera and presented by a cinematographic projector. This device uses a frame replacement speed of more than 18 frames per second, a characteristic that allows the human eye to create the illusion of continuity.

In this sense, it should be noted that those considered the fathers of cinema are the French Lumière brothers who in 1895 managed to use a camera to record the exit of workers from a factory in the city of Lyon . This would be the beginning of an art that has today become an indisputable part of our lives.
