Nausea

In order to know the meaning of the term nausea, it is necessary, first of all, to discover its etymological origin. In this case, we can establish that it is a word that derives from Greek, specifically from “naus”, which can be translated as “ship” or “boat”. It is considered that at that time it was used to refer to the dizziness that sailors suffered, who even vomited, during their voyages.

When a person feels the need to vomit , they are said to be nauseous . This term, which can be used in the singular ( nausea ) although it is more commonly used in the plural, also refers to the disgust or rejection that something produces .

In the same way, we cannot ignore that it is very common for pregnant women to suffer from nausea in the first months of pregnancy. It is one of the most frequent symptoms they have and, specifically, they may have to suffer from it even up to week 16.

As a general rule, we usually talk about morning sickness, which is what you feel as soon as you get out of bed.

Among the tricks that exist to mitigate those is taking certain foods that help put an end to those mentioned. We are referring to mint infusion, nuts, whole grains, toast and even ginger.

Likewise, it is considered that sucking ice cubes, drinking fresh lemon juice, eating raisins or even including foods such as wheat germ, pumpkin seeds or bananas in the diet can also work.
