Nose

The Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ) recognizes several meanings of the term morro in its dictionary. The notion is used in the field of geography to refer to a rounded or steep rock or a low mountain .

In this case, we can establish that words such as crag , peña, cerro, picacho, monte and promontorio, for example, are synonyms of morro.

NoseMorros are common in several areas of Brazil . One of the most famous is Sugar Loaf , or Pão de Açúcar in Portuguese, which is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site .

This hill rises 396 meters above sea level and is located in Guanabara Bay ( Rio de Janeiro ). Many tourists who come to this city choose to ride the Sugar Loaf bondinho (cable car) to travel a distance of 1,400 meters in the air and enjoy the panoramic views.

The Morro de Arica , on the other hand, is located in Chile . It is an elevation about 100 meters high that, in 1971 , was declared a National Monument . From its summit you can not only see the town of Arica , but even the beaches that are located next to the Pacific Ocean .

The sector that protrudes from the face of certain animals , in which the mouth and nose appear, is also called Moor.

Taking these meanings into account, it must be established that the words that can function as synonyms for nose are mouth, lips, snout or mouth.

There are many recipes that are prepared with snout, although among the most common are those that are made with pork snout. Among the most common dishes with that are pork snout in sauce, snout in tomato sauce or stewed pork snout.

In the same way, it is also common for the kitchen to prepare dishes with beef snout and even bonito snout.

The nose is also the extended part that is located in the front section of certain elements. For example: "When crossing the fence of the house, the dog hurt its nose" , "I don't like this car, its nose is too big" , "The nose of the plane was damaged by the hail" .

In the same way, we cannot ignore that the expression "have a nose" is also used colloquially. This is used to mean that someone is very cheeky or even cool. Hence, among the words that can function as a synonym for the aforementioned term in that case are cheeky, shameless or impudence.

In addition to everything indicated, we cannot forget that "Morro García" is the nickname of a footballer. We are referring to the Uruguayan Santiago Damián García (1990), who currently plays as a forward for the Godoy Cruz team of the Argentine Super League.

Furthermore, we must not forget that in certain countries the term nose is used to refer colloquially to a woman's vagina. This would be the case, for example, of Colombia.
