The term llama has several uses. Thus it can refer to a gaseous mass that is in combustion . In this case, we can establish that it derives from Latin. Exactly from the word “flamma”.

CallsFlames emanate from burning objects, giving off light of different colors. Certain particles found in combustion gases emit the energy that generates the flame, which is produced when the atmosphere has a high level of oxygen .

It is important to mention that, in the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ), fire is defined as a phenomenon that is characterized by the emission of light and heat, usually with a flame. In colloquial language, however, fire and flame are often used synonymously. For example: “A short circuit caused the flames that destroyed the house,” “The young people gathered to sing and dance around the flames,” “The firefighters fought the flames for several hours until they managed to put out the fire.”

Llama, on the other hand, can also come from the Quechua language. In this case, the concept refers to a mammalian animal originating from the Andean region.

The llama belongs to the group of camelids , formed by hornless ruminants that, on the underside of the foot, have a callus that includes the toes. It is also an artiodactyl (its limbs end in an even number of fingers, of which at least two rest on the surface) and ungulate (these limbs end in a hoof or hoof). Like all ruminants, meanwhile, it has a stomach made up of four cavities, it does not have incisor teeth in the upper jaw and it eats plants .

Other interesting information about the llama are the following:

-It is considered a relative of the camel, since, among other things, they have in common that they can survive by drinking little water.

-She is known for her ability to spit.

-This is an animal that was domesticated by the inhabitants of the Andes. And these indigenous people did not hesitate to use it as a pack animal. Specifically, it appears that this animal can travel about 32 kilometers a day and can carry a weight that ranges between 23 and 50 kilos.

-With their wool and even their skin, everything from carpets to ropes and all types of textiles are made.

-It has the capacity to live in areas located at high altitudes.

-Its meat is eaten in different corners of the world.

-Their feces are used to shape fuel.

-The weight of an adult llama can be around 135 kilos while its height will be between 150 and 200 centimeters.

Llamas and alpacas are sometimes confused because they have common characteristics such as belonging to the camel family or living in places of a certain altitude. However, they differ because alpacas are shorter, they do not exceed 90 centimeters, and also less heavy, since they do not exceed 60 kilos.

In addition, alpacas have softer wool and also have more rounded faces.
