What is legal is what is linked to the laws.

Originating from the Latin word legalis , the adjective legal is used to describe that which is ordered by law or that results in accordance with its provisions . The term is also used with reference to what is linked to law or laws .

For example: "The opposition deputies denounced that the new increase in the price of fuel is not legal since the modification was not debated in the Legislature" , "The footballer is immersed in a legal scandal due to his divorce from the model" , "Many believe that people suffering from certain diseases should be allowed to buy cannabis oil legally."

Laws are rules that are dictated and approved by the competent authorities. These rules prohibit or order certain actions in accordance with a principle of justice and the interest of society as a whole. When something is in line with what is stipulated by law, it is classified as legal.

Jurisprudence is called legal doctrine : that is, the set formed by the various rulings of a court. When issuing a ruling or setting a sentence, judges can rely on legal doctrine to justify their decisions.

Forensic medicine , on the other hand, is the application of medical knowledge to develop expertise in court. A legal practitioner, in this way, is responsible for advising and instructing judges on issues related to their area of ​​work.

Other names by which legal medicine is known are forensic medicine , judicial medicine and medical jurisprudence . This branch of medicine is of great importance in the framework of judicial processes , since without it it would not be possible to resolve many of the unknowns that arise at crime scenes.

The name forensic medicine refers to the term forum , since it was in the forums or courts where in ancient times the activity of these medical professionals was carried out. Nowadays it is possible to distinguish the Latin school from the Anglo-Saxon one : while forensic doctors belong to the first, to the second we find forensic doctors.

Forensic medicine is a science that is based on evidence and the expert method, so that it does not admit as truth anything that has not been proven, ordered, enumerated and analyzed carefully without any omission.

According to the definition provided by the Junta de Andalucía , the concept of legal deposit is the legal institution thanks to which the Autonomous Communities and the General Administration of the State can collect samples of publications of any type that have been in different types of supports with the intention of being used for a certain procedure , to distribute them or for public communication.

Said material collected by the authorities can be free or expensive and have the objective of complying with the preservation of the sound, bibliographic, visual, digital and audiovisual heritage of Spanish culture throughout its history , in addition to providing access to it with different purposes, such as being informative, investigative or cultural.

With respect to the constitution and the deadline for requesting the legal deposit, the obligated person or entity has two months to deliver the work from one day after the notification that a number has been assigned to the procedure and, in such case, before its sale or distribution takes place.
