Gramilla can be used as a synonym for grass.

The Royal Spanish Academy ( RAE ) recognizes several meanings of grass . In fact, the academy indicates two possible origins of the concept that are associated with the different meanings.

On the one hand, gramar can come from gramar : giving a second coat to the bread after kneading. The term is also linked to agramar , which refers to the action of crushing flax or hemp with the aim of separating the fiber from the stem.
