The notion of extreme comes from the Latin word extrēmus . The term allows us to refer to a thing that is at its most intense or highest degree . For example: “We had to endure extreme temperatures at the top of the mountain” , “Extreme violence has taken over society” .
In this sense, it must be emphasized that, based on this meaning, we find the fact that in recent years various activities that have been classified precisely as extreme have become fashionable. And those who do them find themselves in the need not only to face dangerous challenges but also to have to push their physical capabilities to the limit, to the extreme, in order to develop them.
Among the many extreme activities that we find and that more and more people who love adventures and challenges do are skydiving, dynamic whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, canyoning or bungee jumping
Extreme is also an adjective that allows you to describe something as excessive or exaggerated : “I am extremely tired, I haven't stopped studying for three days,” “I have gone to the point of lying to be able to leave my house.”
An end is, on the other hand, the first (the beginning) or last (the end) part of something : “Please leave that bottle at the end of the counter,” “The teacher is waiting for you at the other end of the playground.” ” .
In some sports , a player who occupies an offensive position close to the sides of the field is called winger: “The coach has asked me to play as a winger on the left and to try to overwhelm often,” “The right winger of the visiting team has suffered the fracture of his left hand.”

The concept of extreme, finally, is used to refer to the limits of something, whether physical or abstract. When a person says that they have reached an extreme, they feel that they can't do anything anymore, or that they have done something of which they are not convinced.
“I experienced an extreme situation, they pointed a gun at me and threatened to kill me,” for example, is a phrase where the notion of extreme is referred to to explain the intensity of the moment.
