Push

The first step we are going to take in order to discover the meaning of the term push is to know its etymological origin. In this case, we can establish that it derives from Latin, exactly from the verb "impulsare", which, in turn, comes from "impellere". This is the result of the sum of two clearly delimited lexical components:

-The prefix «im-«, which can be translated as «inwards».

-The verb «pellere», which is synonymous with «put into motion».

The term push refers to the act and result of pushing . This verb (push), for its part, refers to exerting pressure or force - physical or symbolic - against something or someone to displace, repel or hold it.

PushFor example: «Can you help me push my vehicle? I can't get it to turn on and I have to take it to the mechanic's shop two blocks away" , "To succeed in the field of professional sports you need talent, perseverance and drive" , "My father gave me a push so I can open my own office." » .

Thrust can be understood as the reaction force that Isaac Newton describes in his third law . When a mass is accelerated in one direction, the mass in question generates an identical force in the opposite direction. If a person pushes a piece of furniture, for example, an interaction occurs between the action force and the reaction force.

Many times we resort to pushing something in everyday life. We can push a chair closer to a table; a heavy box to carry from one room to another; or a car that ran out of fuel. In the context of a fight , an individual may push another to push him away or with aggressive intent.

In a symbolic sense, drive is the resolve or energy that someone applies to their actions in order to push them forward or carry them out successfully. Suppose a young man dreams of having a rock band. However, he only plays the guitar at home, without looking for companions or trying to approach a group that needs to add members. It can be said, given this reality, that the boy lacks the drive to fulfill his desire.

Within the field of physical exercise and sports in general, we cannot ignore the existence of what is known as hip thrust. Basically it is a specific exercise that is carried out with the clear purpose of reducing back pain, increasing running speed and also strengthening and increasing the glutes. Not to mention that it is considered to help significantly improve the condition of the abdominals.

As its name indicates, it consists of raising the hips with the upper part of the back supported on a bench and with the feet on the floor and the legs bent. There are different variants of this exercise. Thus, it can be done as is or by using weight bars, which will be placed in the hip area.

In recent years it has become very fashionable because numerous celebrities, such as the most famous top models, have begun to practice the aforementioned hip thrust.
