The concept of crossing refers to the act and the result of crossing . This verb , in turn, can refer to the act of crossing something over another element, forming a cross; to crossing a path or a point; to confront an opinion or an idea; or to making two animals of different origin have offspring.
For example: “Car accidents always occur at the intersection of these avenues” , “The crossing of the Andes Mountains was one of the great milestones of the army led by José de San Martín” , “The model came out to counter the statements made by her former representative” .
In the road sector, a crossing is the intersection of two or more roads or paths (streets, avenues, highways, etc.). The crossing can occur at ground level (both roads are on the same surface) or at a slope (one road is elevated and the other is lower).
