Crossing

The concept of crossing refers to the act and the result of crossing . This verb , in turn, can refer to the act of crossing something over another element, forming a cross; to crossing a path or a point; to confront an opinion or an idea; or to making two animals of different origin have offspring.

CrossingFor example: “Car accidents always occur at the intersection of these avenues” , “The crossing of the Andes Mountains was one of the great milestones of the army led by José de San Martín” , “The model came out to counter the statements made by her former representative” .

In the road sector, a crossing is the intersection of two or more roads or paths (streets, avenues, highways, etc.). The crossing can occur at ground level (both roads are on the same surface) or at a slope (one road is elevated and the other is lower).

Crossings require a lot of attention from drivers to avoid collisions. Depending on the intersection, the vehicle can turn left, right, make a U-turn or continue forward. These movements are usually regulated by traffic signs and/or traffic lights.

Zebra crossings , pedestrian crossings or pedestrian paths are also known as crossings. These are marked areas on the road where vehicles circulate and are intended to facilitate the crossing for pedestrians. Vehicles must stop before these areas and give way to those traveling on foot.

Similarly, at a popular level, we cannot overlook the fact that the expression "crossroads" is also used. This is used to refer to a person who is at a difficult time in their life, in which they must make a decision. They have several alternatives before them, whether professional or personal, and they must choose one to continue facing their existence.

We also came across the existence of a film entitled “Crossroads”. This film was released in 2013, directed by Derek Cianfrance and written by him along with Darius Marder and Ben Coccio.

Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper, Ray Liotta and Rose Byrne are the actors who lead the cast of this police film. The story revolves around a motorcycle racer who specialises in certain shows and decides to leave that life behind to focus on taking care of the son he has had with an ex-partner.

In order to support his family, the man decides to use his mastery of motorcycles to rob banks. However, a new police officer who arrives on the scene will not make things easy for him. He is determined to put an end to all existing corruption. The sooner he does it, the sooner he will be able to rise in the department.

There is also a novel entitled “Crossroads”, written by Carlos María Cabrerizo, which was published in 2016 and revolves around pain, love and hope.

When two different breeds of dogs are combined in the same specimen, this is called crossbreeding. Crossbreeding results in hybrids such as the puggle , a cross between a pug and a beagle.
