The Latin word crepitāre derived from the French word crépiter , which came into our language as crepitar . The verb “crepitare” we have to explain that it can be translated as “crunch”, “spark” and even “produce a sound that is dry”.

It is a verb that refers to the generation of dry, short and repetitive sounds .
