Waste

Waste containers allow you to collect household garbage.

Container is a container used to deposit waste or a large packaging , of internationally standardized dimensions and types, used for the transfer of goods . The term comes from the English container .

In the first of the mentioned cases, the container is usually located on public roads so that citizens can deposit their household waste. The collection trucks, on their usual route, empty the containers and take the waste to a treatment plant or landfill, as appropriate. For example: "Please leave this bag in the container that the truck will pass by any moment" , "An old man accidentally threw a million dollars into the container" , "They haven't emptied the container on the corner for three days" .

Burial of containers

In recent years, it should be noted that there has been notable progress in improving the hygiene of the streets of different towns and cities around the world. And the containers have been buried ; that is, to place these containers under the ground.

What is achieved with this is that all urban waste is hidden, which means fewer odors as well as preventing it from being within the reach of vandalism and even animals such as dogs. All this without forgetting that it also ensures that rats do not appear.

This system is based on a small exterior structure, with an opening, through which the citizen introduces the garbage and it falls into an underground container that is then completely emptied by a suitable truck.

Other types of containers

In addition to all this, it should be noted that within what would be the collection of urban waste there are various types of containers based on the type of garbage they contain.

Thus, we find those that are in charge of collecting cardboard and paper, those that do the same with plastics, those that are placed to deposit glass, those destined to collect textiles and finally those that are only for organic waste.

Cargo containers

As a cargo container , the container is used for sea, river, air, land or multimodal transportation . The standardization of its dimensions facilitates handling and international trade operations: "Three containers with electronic products have just arrived from China," "The seller confirmed to me that the container with the car will arrive in the country in the coming days."

As they are large packaging, containers are used to transport very heavy or bulky objects, such as machines or vehicles. For smaller products there are other options.

Within the field of maritime transport, we find a wide variety of types of containers. However, among the most important are metal ones, tankers, refrigerated ones or those intended for transporting liquid.

It is possible to find containers made of steel, aluminum and reinforced wood. Generally, its interior has some type of coating to prevent moisture during travel. At their corners, the containers have appropriate spaces so that they can be hooked and lifted by special cranes.
