Assignment

The Latin word cessio came into Spanish as cession . The concept is used to name the fact of transferring possession of something (an asset, a right, etc.) to another person or entity.

AssignmentThe transfer of assets usually occurs when an individual, unable to pay a debt, voluntarily abandons his or her assets in favor of the creditor. This mechanism was common in ancient times, although nowadays a bankruptcy procedure or an executive trial is usually chosen.

You can also transfer an asset as a donation . The owner of a piece of land, for example, can transfer it to a non-governmental organization for the development of a solidarity project. A company , for its part, can announce the transfer of machinery to a school so that students can do internships.

The assignment of rights , on the other hand, is carried out through a contract by which a creditor (the assignor ) transfers the right with respect to an obligation to an assignee . The assignor, in this way, transfers the rights it has against an assignee (the debtor) in favor of the assignee (who becomes the new creditor).

In addition to everything indicated, we cannot forget the existence of what is known as data transfer. This is a term used to refer to the disclosure of data carried out by a person other than the interested party. It is included in the Spanish Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data, of December 13.

In order for this type of transfer to be carried out in accordance with the law and without falling into any type of infringement, it is necessary, among other things, the prior consent of the interested person, which must be perfectly clear and proven.

In the field of sport , finally, the transfer of the ball (the ball) that is made to a teammate who is located nearby is called transfer. There is, in football, the so-called transfer rule or backward pass rule , which makes it impossible for a field player to pass the ball to the goalkeeper (goalkeeper or goalkeeper) and for him to touch or take it with his arms or hands.

According to the handover rule , if the goalkeeper actually touches the ball with his hands or arms, the referee must sanction an indirect free kick in favor of the opposing team.

From this type of sports transfer we can highlight a series of interesting data such as the following:

-The same, which is also known by the name of handball sanction, was introduced as a rule in the regulations of the aforementioned football back in the 90s. Specifically, it was in 1992, although the importance of the same since 1990.

-In 1994 this rule was qualified and a little more specified. Thus it was determined that the goalkeeper could not catch the ball with his hand if he received it from what was a throw-in.

In the same way, we cannot ignore the name of a company that bears the term in question. This is Cesión, a temporary employment company that began its journey in Valencia in 1994.
