Definition of

Dawn

The noun we are now dealing with must be established as having its etymological origin in Latin. Specifically, it derives from “albor”, which is synonymous with “whiteness”.

The term albor is used to refer to sapwood : absolute or ideal whiteness. By extension, albor refers to the luminosity of dawn and the beginning of something. The concept is also used in the plural ( albores ) with the same meaning.

DawnFor example: “My great-grandfather was an important figure in the dawn of national independence” , “Historians are trying to increase knowledge about the dawn of livestock farming” , “The Italian team stood out at the dawn of the new century, winning five international titles in three years” .

The beginnings, then, are associated with the moment or period when something begins to develop . Let us suppose that a journalist wants to carry out an investigation into the process that led to a city being chosen as the venue for the Olympic Games . To carry out his work, he first begins to study how the project came about, who came up with the idea of promoting the candidacy, what were the first schemes or diagrams that were drawn up, etc. In this way, it could be said that this whole part of the journalistic investigation is focused on the beginnings of the city being chosen as the Olympic venue. Without these first steps, the subsequent state would not have been reached.

Within the cultural sphere, we find a relevant work that has in its title the word we are now addressing. We are referring to the documentary “The Dawn of Humanity”, which is from 2014 and has an American origin.

Similarly, it is also common to speak of the dawn of science, that is, its starting point. In this case, we can say that there is even a book that bears that term as its title. It is a 1985 publication by Thomas Goldstein.

In the cultural sphere, on the other hand, there is talk of the dawn of literature in different fields. Thus, for example, it is determined that the dawn of science fiction is Jules Verne and Edgar Allan Poe.

This document lasts approximately one hour and attempts to bring us closer to the starting point of the human being. It uses as a guiding thread a set of fossils that have been found over the years and which provide a series of relevant ideas about the origin of man.

The idea of dawn is also often used in reference to the first years of a person's life . Children and adolescents, in this sense, are going through the dawn of their existence: when they reach adulthood, they can take childhood and adolescence as the first stages of life.

We can also highlight that Albores is the name of an important restaurant in the town of Jerez de la Frontera, which is located in the province of Cádiz.
