Aggregate

Add

The concept of aggregate comes from the verb add.

Added is an adjective linked to the verb add , which allows naming the action of uniting or joining people or things to other similar ones; add something to what has already been stated; or assign someone to an office without giving them an effective position.

An attaché, in this framework, is an official assigned to a diplomatic mission who is in charge of certain specific matters , of which he is a specialist. The attaché must respond to the authority of the ambassador. For example: “The cultural attaché of the French embassy has met with the president to organize a public concert” , “Controversial statements by the British commercial attaché” , “The government considered the provocative attitude of the Slovenian military attaché as an offence” .

Military attache

More specifically, the rank that an ambassador assigns to someone with a specialty in military matters is known as military or defense attaché.

Generally, the person chosen is usually an officer of the army, air force or navy, who has the necessary capacity and training to perform the greatest number of functions of the naval, military, police and air attachés. The term attaché , coming from French, is also used to refer to this concept.

Kitchen

An addition can be a set of ingredients or elements that add to something.

Other uses of the term

The notion of attaché can be extended to other employees who are assigned to a service of which they are not holders: “I am very happy: they have named me associate professor of the chair.”

In another sense, an aggregate is a set of things that are considered as a single body, a group of interacting particles or any aggregation or addition: “Before kneading, we have to include an addition of soy milk, sugar and coloring” , “This paint has a special additive that gives it waterproofing properties.”

The added value

The value that a production process adds to raw materials and fixed capital is known as added value . If an artisan buys a stone for one hundred dollars and, after polishing and shaping it, sells it for one hundred and fifty pesos, said product has an added value of fifty dollars which corresponds to the work added by the person.

From another perspective, added value can be understood as the set of features or characteristics that are given to a product or service and that are not common, generally because they are not part of the competition's offers. The objective of this resource is to capture the attention of the public, differentiate itself from competitors and try to stay one step ahead of them in the market.

Some examples

The concept of added value is present in a large part of the products we buy and the services we contract daily; Let's look at some examples:

  • A shopping center that offers its customers a childcare service at no additional cost, with a series of attractions for the entertainment of the little ones;
  • Stores that carry out shipping and installation of their products for free, as well as maintenance for a certain period of time;
  • Detergents that, in addition to fulfilling their main function in washing dishes and cutlery, take care of the skin thanks to containing aloe vera.

Added value, a tool to differentiate yourself

Given the high level of competitiveness of the industry, there is no longer an industry dominated by a single company; Added value has become a fundamental tool to make a difference , to try to convince consumers that there is no reason to prefer the competition.

The risk of this appeal, however, is that none of the offers will be completely satisfactory. Take the case of graphics cards in computing: when NVIDIA managed to solve the vertical sync problem, AMD achieved a considerable increase in performance. The ideal graphics card, therefore, should incorporate both novelties.
